The Women's Research Institute has essential but informal guidance from 85 Women’s Research Institute Faculty Affiliates. These affiliates provide the Institute with a continual source of information regarding the developments of theory and research related to women across various disciplines and participate as their time permits in research on women, in developing curricula including women, and in contributing to various academic dialogues addressing issues related to women. These affiliates constitute a community of scholars with overlapping areas of interest and expertise, and with a commitment to the guiding principles of the Institute, thus facilitating collaboration on many levels. Inasmuch as they represent 37 departments and 15 colleges and schools, their collective breadth of intellectual knowledge enriches faculty and student inquiry and scholarship in the Women’s Research Institute.
